Lent & Easter Arrangements

Lent and Holy Week: The Minister writes:

This year, I am working with Rev Dr Elaine Colechin and Stephen Fellingham, the Local Church Leader at Bromley URC, to prepare reflections for Lent and Holy Week, which will be used across our churches in Bromley, Hayes, Greenwich and Dulwich. I hope this will inspire and encourage us as we meet together, worship with friends from across the area and reflect together. All the materials will be available online, via Zoom and YouTube, with CD’s and paper copies available for those who would find that helpful (speak to Alison for more details).

Ash Wednesday – Service of Reflection and confession on Zoom, 7pm

Lent Reflections and Discussion Group – Monday, 7pm (online) – 27th February to 27th March
The weekly sessions will be an opportunity to reflect further on the Gospel reading for the previous Sunday, with a time of reflection, discussion and prayer. The reflections will be pre-recorded and available via YouTube or CDs/on paper, for those unable to join at the time.

Daily Reflections during Holy Week

A daily pre-recorded reflection will take us through the events of Holy Week as we reflect on Jesus’ journey to the cross.

Maundy Thursday – Pre-recorded Act of Tenebrae and Silent Communion

Over the Easter weekend, we will worship as we normally do:

Good Friday – Walk of Witness and Service led jointly by the Ministers of Hayes

Easter Sunday – Morning worship led by Rev Jacob Bali

I hope that you will feel able to join with some/all of the discussions/reflections and find real meaning to Lent and Easter as we journey together.

Alongside this, there will be opportunities to join with friends and colleagues from across Bromley and Hayes for reflection and discussion:
